Honor V40 5G Set to Arrive On January 18: Full Specs and Features

 


Honor is gearing up to bring on the market a new smartphone series: the Honor V40. After many delays and unofficial reports, the company has finally announced a launch date.

The much-awaited Honor V40 5G will arrive on January 18, and is said to pack one of the best features and specs. Honor published more details on its Weibo website alongside an official teaser.

Honor V40 5G Possible Specs and Features

The official teaser published by Honor is the only reliable source at the moment. According to it, the upcoming Honor V40 5G will flaunt a left-aligned pill-shaped dual punch-hole sleek cutout for the front camera. 

The smartphone will also sport a curved panel.

Display details

The Honor V40 5G is said to have a 6.72-inch OLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 1236x2676 pixels, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Processor and software details

Under the hood, the upcoming handset might house a MediaTek processor, the Dimensity 1000+ SoC coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

The Honor V40 5G might ship with Android 10 OS topped with Magic UI 4.0.

Battery capacity

A battery of 4,000mAh featuring 66W fast charging and 45W fast wireless charging support will keep the lights on.

Camera skills

Coming to camera capabilities, the Honor V40 5G is said to sport a quad-rear camera module including a 50MP or 64MP primary Sony IMX766 lens, an 8MP super-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. 

Other features and specs

According to the last reports, the Honor V40 5G will measure 163.32x74.08x7.85mm and weigh approximately 184 grams. An in-display fingerprint scanner is also tipped.

More Honor Devices 

Honor might as well introduce on the market a few other devices including laptops, TVs, smartwatches, and, surprisingly, toothbrushes. 

On January 12, the company will open its first online shop in China, dubbed the Honor Mall.
