Some fresh speculations that have surfaced on Chinese social media say that Huawei has just overcome a 'durability test,' which should result in the debut of its tri-foldable smartphone (a phone with three screens and two hinges) within the next month. 

The rumor mill has also stirred quite the buzz releasing speculation about tri-foldable phones for more than four years now. So, it might seem that the world's first tri-foldable device could finally make its official debut, and, of course, enter a fierce battle with its rivals!

The Tri-foldable Phone: Hit or Miss?

Based on the information provided by Bad Review Emperor on Weibo, we are aware that Huawei's tri-foldable smartphone "passed the 28μm test." This test is reportedly a durability test that evaluates the screen's remarkable thinness and the degree to which the crease lines will be evident after many folds. So, a brand new 'inside-out' system with a sleek dual-hinge design is anticipated to make its debut on Huawei's foldable smartphones. Quite impressive, isn't it?!

And there's more.

"A certain large manufacturer has begun scheduling the production of a tri-fold phone," claims a different source. It is also said to feature an internal screen of 10 inches and that its specifications and its price "are going to hit new highs," competing with the toughest rivals on the market.

Of course, we need more information and some official insights to back up everything that those two sources claim and that might take a while. On the other hand, there's another thing to consider. It is possible that Samsung may be the first tech giant to produce a tri-foldable device that is genuinely worldwide launched, given the fact that Huawei is prohibited from selling smartphones in the US.
